Yupoo watches: the details you can photograph
Watches are the most detail-dense category in the catalogue. Case finishing, dial printing, bezel alignment and bracelet tolerances are all visible in a good photo set — and all easy to hide in a bad one.

We do not authenticate. We do explain what to photograph and what to ask, so you can decide whether the watch in front of you matches the listing you paid for.
Case and bracelet finishing
Brushed and polished surfaces should meet cleanly. Look at lug edges and the transition between case and bracelet. Sharp, uneven lines are the fastest tell of a low-effort build.
Dial and bezel alignment
Indices should line up with the bezel markers. Ask for a straight-on dial photo at 12 o’clock. Misalignment is common and easy to spot once you know to look.
| Question | Short answer |
|---|---|
| Can photos confirm a movement? | Not reliably. A caseback photo may show decoration, but only a watchmaker can confirm the movement. Ask for the specification in writing. |
| Is water resistance guaranteed? | Treat it as a claim, not a certification. Do not swim with a watch unless the seller explicitly supports the rating and the seals are sound. |
| What is the most common QC issue? | Bezel and index alignment, followed by bracelet sizing and clasp tension. Ask for straight-on photos. |
| Should I buy a watch with a metal bracelet? | It is less forgiving on fit. Ask for the bracelet length and whether spare links are included. |
Watches references
Ask whether the movement is quartz, automatic or a decorated automatic. Accuracy, serviceability and noise differ. Do not assume a specification from the brand on the dial.

How do I maintain an automatic?
Wear it regularly or use a winder, keep it away from magnets, and service it when the amplitude drops. Budget for maintenance.
