Yupoo size guide: measure the garment

Why your usual size is a rumour, and what to send your agent instead.

7 min readUpdated 2026-10-28By yupoo.wiki editorial

Start from a garment you own

Lay a piece you already like flat. Measure chest (pit to pit), body length, shoulder and sleeve. Those four numbers are your size fingerprint.

Compare that fingerprint with the listing’s chart. If the chart is missing, ask for a measurement photo. Do not rely on S/M/L labels; they vary by seller and silhouette.

Shoes: length plus width

Measure your foot in centimetres while standing, then add 0.5–1 cm of toe room. Compare with the insole length, not the EU size.

Ask whether the model runs narrow. Air Force 1, New Balance and UGG all fit differently despite sharing a size number.

Oversized and cropped cuts

Oversized is a proportion, not a size. A boxy tee has a wider chest and shorter body; sizing up adds length you may not want.

For cropped pieces, check the body length against your torso, not just the chest.

Shrinkage and socks

Cotton fleece can shrink 3–6% in length. If you are between sizes, choose based on the post-wash expectation.

For boots, account for sock thickness. A snug fit in thin socks may be unbearable in wool.

Takeaways
  • Measure a garment you own, not your body.
  • Use insole length for shoes, plus 0.5–1 cm toe room.
  • Treat oversized as a proportion, not a size label.
  • Predict shrinkage before choosing between two sizes.

Questions from readers

Should I size up in Yupoo clothing?

Only if the chart shows a slim cut or you want an oversized fit. Always compare garment measurements first.

How do I measure chest correctly?

Lay the garment flat and measure pit to pit, then double it. Compare that with the listing.

What if the size chart is missing?

Ask the seller for a measurement photo of the actual item. If they cannot provide one, consider another listing.

Do shoe sizes match EU/US exactly?

Approximately, but last shape matters more. Use insole length in centimetres.

Can I exchange a wrong size?

Before consolidation, often yes. After international shipping, it is usually impractical.
